Alda now aboard the rescue ship Jóhannes Briem

The implementation of the Alda safety management system has now begun on the rescue vessels of the Landsbjörg - Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue (ICE-SAR), and the first vessel to get Alda is Jóhannes Briem, the rescue vessel in Reykjavík. This marks the beginning of the project to put Alda into use on all of ICE-SAR's rescue vessels in the coming months.

The implementation is part of a formal development partnership between Alda Safety and Landsbjörg ICE-SAR which was announced earlier this year. The goal of the partnership is to adapt and develop Alda specifically for the operations of Landsbjörg ICE-SAR’s rescue vessels and thus further strengthen coordinated safety management in their rescue operations at sea.

With the implementation, the Alda safety management system will become an important part of the operations of Landsbjörg ICE-SAR’s rescue vessels, with the aim of simplifying the overview, coordinating exercises and supporting Iceland's continued professional leadership in maritime safety.

We at Alda Safety are very proud of the partnership with Landsbjörg ICE-SAR and look forward to completing the implementation of our safety management system in all of their rescue vessels in the near future.
